Pope Shenouda

The film showcases the raise of Pope Shenouda and the state of the Coptic Church in the 1940’s and 1950’s, the Sunday schools and teaching in the life of the eloquent poet Nahir Jayed, who become Antonios Assouryani after being a monk.

Shenouda, the educated Pope put an end to the popes of the old era, he believed that change comes from inside the Church... by thinking.
